The film which Dr Rajakumar evinced interest in playing in his life ‘Bhaktha Ambarisha’ a triple role mythological film could not happen for nasty Veerappan kidnapping Dr Rajakumar and there after the knee ailment causing great trouble to Dr Rajakumar.

But the muhurut was held in 2000 for the song recording at Akash Audio. Hamsalekha was the music director. Director Vijaya Reddy graced the muhurut of song recording.

Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar had invested nearly 40 lakhs of rupees on this project but destiny had something else. After ‘Mayoora’ of Dr Rajakumar the Mysore Palace was sanctioned for the shooting purpose. The film lovers were waiting for this film to happen but sadly the entire project has got struck in cold storage with the passing away of Dr Rajakumar on April 12, 2006.

Now here is some relief for such film lovers. Srinivasamurthy the only actor today in Kannada cinema who can take up such challenging roles has got offer from Sri Lakshmivara Theertha of Shiroor Math, Udupi – the sitting Paryaya Swamiji to stage the play of ‘Bhaktha Ambarisha’ in Udupi.

Already Shiroor Math Sri Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji has finished one of his two years as Paryaya Swamiji and in one year time this stage play of ‘Bhaktha Ambarisha’ is bound to take place.

Now what Srinivasamurthy is doing? He has spoken to a few writers like Rudramurthy Shastry and finalizing the script for stage place of two and half and half hour duration.

Meanwhile Srinivasamurthy has invested nearly 30000 rupees on this project and getting the right things to work.

Srinivasamurthy last stage play was 18 years ago. It was ‘Sadarame’. He is now in the historical film ‘Sangolli Rayanna’ that is currently under production.
